Hi, I’m Valeria Fontanals<\/strong> <\/span>– a Harvard-educated, Licensed School Psychologist, award-winning learning expert. In the last 20 years of my clinical experience, I have been helping children to optimize their learning, to become the best version of themselves, and succeed in school and in life.<\/p>

With a whole-child and holistic approach, I am specialized in twice exceptionalities, learning disorders, ADHD, and giftedness, working with both children and their families.<\/p>

I have provided hundreds of psychoeducational assessments (in English and Spanish), guidance to families from diverse cultures and backgrounds, educational therapy to children with different learning profiles, and training to numerous educational therapists and psychologists to make sure every child receives the best treatment ever.<\/p>

As an entrepreneur, I created several start-ups, as co-founder and main founder, ranging from educational consultant and publisher company based on Multiple Intelligences Theory to a psycho-educational center which provides assessment and treatment for children with learning disorders, a network of mental health professionals to optimize their work and a psycho-educational company dedicated to promoting optimal development in children.<\/p>

Now, at My Optimal Child, I put together all my resources and experiences to bring an upgraded version working on-site and online with parents, children, teachers, and mental health professionals.<\/p>\n

I am currently an Adjunct Faculty Professor at Florida International University and a consultant for “Realidades en Contexto” TV program, CNN Espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n

I was born and raised in Argentina. I have studied and worked in a wide range of diverse cultures and places such as South America, China, and the United States. I am currently living in the sunny city of Miami, Florida, US, with my sweet and curious daughter, amazing husband, and playful dog.<\/p>\n
